SewBatik is a direct merchant with a passion for designing, sourcing and distributing exquisite batik and hand dyed fabrics. Our fabrics are only sold on the SewBatik website and at trunk shows and home parties coordinated by our "Batik Associates". Diane and Bruce Magidson co-founded SewBatik in 2004.

What Makes Us Unique?

	Our batik fabrics are created with the same attention to detail that our customers give to their special projects. Designed to be used in a variety of applications, SewBatik fabrics are made using the ancient Indonesian mastery of batik - vivid and rich in color, the perfect complement to your creative genius.
	Your imagination knows no limits so we have created 104/8" stamped batik backings and 104/8" hand dyed fabrics - by far the largest assortment in the market.

SewBatik is committed to offering the largest selection of coordinating fabrics in the industry. Whether you pick one of our 100% silk batiks, velvety soft batik flannels, or 104/8" batik backings, you will choose from a multitude of colors that work harmoniously with many other pieces in our collections.

To assist the artist in you, our collections are designed with the complete project in mind.

	Select from a wide array of project kits created with an easy-to-follow pattern and all of the fabric pieces needed to complete the project.
	Mix and match on your own, knowing that all SewBatik fabrics are made by master Indonesian craftspeople using the same hand-stamped and hand-dyed techniques for each piece, assuring you continuity in your project.

Our fabrics are special. We will not sacrifice the integrity of our products by mass marketing these unique designs and fine artistry to other companies or specialty quilt shops. You will only find them at the SewBatik website, regional and national quilt shows or at your favorite longarm/machine quilter's studio through our “Longarm Batik Associate” program. We will not retail fabrics on our site or at our sales functions that were produced by other companies.

Where Are We Located?

SewBatik corporate operations - including product design, business operations, order fulfillment, and customer service are all coordinated from our offices in Mayville, North Dakota. Come see us!

From Fargo: I-29 North to the Mayville Exit.

From Grand Forks: I-29 South to the Mayville Exit.

Go West on Hwy-200 for 13 miles. Continue on Hwy-200 passing the city park, crossing the Goose River, and about 1/4 mile up on the left you will see a huge sign "879 West Main" on the South side of the highway. That's SewBatik.

Stop by our studio to see (and shop) our entire collection of batiks. Our store hours are as follows:

Monday - Friday 10:00am - 5:00pm Saturday By Appointment Only (Please call)
