SewBatik respects the privacy needs and concerns of our customers. It is our goal to provide you with an enjoyable and satisfying shopping experience and to meet and surpass your expectations.

The customer information that SewBatik collects through its web site is used to process orders and to improve your shopping experience. Our strict corporate policy insures that we will not sell, distribute, or otherwise publish your membership information to any third party. We use the information you share with us in the following ways:

	Membership Profile: The information you supply to us during member login is added to our customer database and stored internally. After entering and storing your profile information, your billing and shipping details are used on subsequent orders to speed checkout.
	Mailing List: We will not send you emails or catalogs without your prior approval. If you wish to receive external communication from SewBatik check the “Subscribe to Mail List” box when you create a member account. You always have the option of updating your profile to include or exclude mail communications.
	Return Email Communication: We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive from our customers. We use email addresses within your profile to send order confirmation and shipment tracking information.

What we do not do:

	We do not share customer membership information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete your order.
	Gifts / Alternative Shipping Addresses: We do not share alternative shipping addresses with outside parties. We do not send catalogs or mailings to alternate shipping addresses.
	We do not sell customer information.
	We do not send out junk mails to our customers.

Cookies:

A cookie is a small piece of information that web sites use to remember information about users. SewBatik uses two types of cookies to recognize our members and remember wish lists and shopping basket items.

1.	Transient cookies are used to provide continuity from page to page, within a single visit. These cookies store information such as the contents of your shopping basket to speed checkout. They do not contain any personal identifying information.
2.	Persistent cookies are used to identify members after their first visit. These cookies remain on the hard drive of your PC and allow you to enter our site without having to log in on every visit. To access any secure areas such as your account profile, wish list or checkout, you must still enter your password.

SewBatik incorporates SSL technology which represents our primary means of encrypting your billing and shipping information.
